North middle school FAQs

Our school counselors are happy to answer questions related to schedules and electives, as well as address any academic concerns. The counselors can be reached at (719) 328-2420.

All student athletes must turn in a sports physical for the year. Sports fees vary and are turned in to the IB Office. A Blue Card (emergency information) must be completed for each sport. Physical forms and Blue Cards can be found in the IB Office.

All parents are encouraged to create PowerSchool accounts to view their student’s grades and attendance. To create an account, parents will need an Access ID and passcode, provided by the school. Please call the office if you need this information, or are having other difficulties.

All medication taken during the school day requires a Medication Form, located in the Office. Medication must be doctor prescribed, in the original container, and kept in the Health Room/Office, unless instructed by a doctor to self-carry.

Please leave a message with the Attendance voicemail line at (719) 328-2435, including the following details: your student' s full name, the date of absence, the reason for the absence (if applicable), and your contact information. Please monitor PowerSchool for attendance updates, as we are not able to return all voicemails with confirmation. For planned extended absences (4+ missed school days) such as vacations or surgeries, please see the Attendance Clerk for additional required paperwork.

For early release, please enter the building through the front doors (closest to the Viking) and check-in with the Attendance Clerk. You will need a legal form of ID to pick up your student. Students can only be released to emergency contacts listed on their PowerSchool account. Parents can personally drop off lunch for their student, but we do not accept food deliveries for students. Please give notice to the school if you wish to have lunch with your student.

Please see the attached parent drop-off map. DO NOT block handicap spots. Please respect the Bus-Only lanes and traffic cones. Do not use the east Staff Parking Lot for student drop-off.

All students are issued a Chromebook and charger at the beginning of the school year. Students are responsible for their Chromebook and charger. Lost or damaged Chromebooks/chargers will incur a fee for replacement or repairs. Fees are paid to the IB Office.

Please see the attached link for the updated Cell Phone Policy! All D11 middle schools will be utilizing Yondr pouches to secure phones throughout the day. Students will be responsible for their assigned Yondr pouch.
